I have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Akron and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Walden University.  I have 10 years of teaching experience and 5 years in administration.  In October, I will have been married to my husband Ray for 20 years.  We have two children both of whom go to the upper school and have been at Morningside since pre-school.  Emily is in 10th grade, and Nathan is in 8th.  My favorite part of being at MA is the children.  No matter what kind of day you are having, our students never fail to lift you up with their smiles and hugs.  They amaze me each and every year with their musical abilities, talents, and academic abilities.  It is also a blessing to work with a staff that genuinely cares for each other and their students.  What a blessing it is to share God's love with our students and families.  Reading, outdoor activities, and jigsaw puzzles occupy any spare time I might have.  My favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 4:2, "Be completely humble and gentle, be patient bearing with one another in love."

Chapel

In Chapel this week we will are blessed to have our wonderful Kindergarten students performing their musical, “I am a Promise”. Please make plans to join us at 8:30 in the Family Center. There will be no evening performance, so please join us Thursday morning.

Enrollment Incentive

Just a reminder, the deadline for the enrollment incentive, is Friday, March 12^th. If you have any questions, please feel free to call the office.

Book Donations

We are still collecting used books for our book sale March 15^th -17^th. If you have any that your children have outgrown, cookbooks or adult books (Christian fiction, self-help, non-fiction, etc…) books that you do not read/use anymore, we would love to take those off your hands. Please just drop them off at the office or have your child bring them in to their teacher. Thanks for your help.

Olympic Video

For those of you who were not able to make it to our Olympic Opening Ceremonies or did not see everything that you wanted to see, Good News! The Opening Ceremonies were recorded. We are offering these DVD’s for a cost of $8.00. Please complete the order form at the bottom of the page and return with a check or cash for $8.00 to your child’s teacher by Wednesday, March 10^th, if you are interested in purchasing one. Please allow a few days after the order has been placed, for delivery.

Spring Pictures

Spring pictures will arrive at school in approximately two weeks. Once we receive those, you will have a week to preview and decide if you would like to purchase it.
