I am very excited and privileged to be the principal at MorningsideAcademy for another year. I began my time here at Morningside 16 years ago, as a 3rd grade teacher. I taught a variety of grades for over eight years, before moving into the office as the assistant principal. Each year brings different situations, but God continues to provide and amaze with each passing year.
I grew up in Northeastern Ohio, and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from The University of Akron. I received my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership several years ago. My husband and I have been married for 21 years, and have two children, Emily and Nathan. They have both grown up here at Morningside, beginning their education here at Little Friends Preschool, and continuing on to their current senior and sophomore years of high school. My favorite part of being at MA is the children. No matter what kind of day you are having, our students never fail to lift you up with their smiles and hugs. They amaze me each and every year with their musical abilities, talents, and academic abilities. They touch my heart with their kindness and love show to others. It is also a blessing to work with a staff that genuinely cares for each other and their students. What a blessing it is to share God's love with our students and families. Reading, outdoor activities, and crafting projects occupy any spare time I might have.
My favorite Bible verse is Ephesians 4:2, "Be completely humble and gentle, be patient bearing with one another in love."
