About Me: Mrs. Lashenka
I would like to take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Jean Lashenka. I was born and raised in Brick Town, New Jersey but have resided in the Stuart area for the last 17 years. I attended Palm Beach Atlantic University in West Palm Beach, Florida where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree. I currently hold a Florida state teaching certificate as well. I met my husband, Peter, in college and have been married for 13 years. We have two wonderful children, Peter (11) and Nadia (6) who both attend Morningside Academy.
I have been teaching at the elementary level for the past 16 years. This will be my 14th year at Morningside Academy, and there is no place that I would rather be. I feel truly blessed to be able to bring God's word in the classroom and pray every day with my students. It is just as important to pray at home, so I ask our families to pray for not only our class, but our school as well. I believe that a student should have a safe, Christian environment in which to learn and grow. In my spare time, I collect Star Wars memorabilia and Disney's Snow White figurines. I love spending time with my family and our rescue golden retriever named Buddy.
My favorite Bible verse is Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." With Jesus nothing is impossible!
