MORNINGSIDE ATHLETICS
2008/2009 OVERVIEW

MIDDLE SCHOOL SPORTS:

Morningside Academy plays in the Treasure Coast Athletic Conference at the middle school level.  Morningside’s teams are open to students in grades 6-8.  Depending on turn out for try-outs, roster cuts are expected in each sport.

HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS:

Morningside belongs to the Florida High School Athletics Association (FHSAA), competing in the Class 1A.  In general, Morningside’s teams belonging to the FHSAA are open to grades 9-12, unless the individual sport is offered only at the varsity level.  These sports are played at a competitive level with participation in the state playoff series at the culmination of each sport.  As a matter of course, roster cuts are expected in each sport.

FEES:

An athletic fee of $150.00 per sport is payable when the initial rosters are posted.  The student will not be allowed to practice or play until this fee is paid.  Uniform fees vary by sport.
