I am a native of New Hampshire and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Springfield College, the birthplace of basketball. After graduation, I married my husband John. We lived and taught at a boarding school in Connecticut for 6 years. We have been married for 16 years and have three children: John is in the 8th grade, Karoline is in the 7th grade, and Karlie is in the 3th grade here at Morningside Academy. I have taught Middle School science, Physical Education and Health Education to grades K-9, along with teaching third grade and fifth & sixth grade math. We have lived in Port St Lucie for 10 years and found Morningside Church during the Easter season of 2001. I am very excited to be teaching 5th grade again!
I truly feel that God has “called” me to teach His children. I delight in the knowledge that Proverbs 3:5&6 states, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, but acknowledge him in all your ways and he will make your paths straight.” This is a verse I try to live by in my daily living. We are very busy with coaching our own kid’s sports: baseball, soccer, volleyball and softball, but I do find time for the many hobbies I enjoy. These include: watching the Boston Red Sox play, coaching different sports, digital scrapbooking, Bunco, reading anything Christian Fiction or Historical Fiction, drinking Starbucks coffee with friends, and I especially love spending time with my family and close friends. I am truly blessed to be a part of Morningside’s ministry!
