About Me: Dr. Cottrell-Yongye
I graduated with my B.S. in Biology from Towson University in 2001 and completed my Ph.D. in Microbiology at the University of Georgia in 2008. I am married to Dr. Austin Yongye, who is a postdoctoral researcher at Torrey Pines Institute for Molecular Studies. When I first visited Morningside in 2008, I was drawn to the loving and family atmosphere found here. I am entering my fourth year of teaching at Morningside Academy, and I am blessed to have started my teaching career here. This year I will be teaching 9th & 10th grade Physical Science, 11th grade Chemistry, and 12th grade dual-enrollment Biology. In my spare time, I really enjoy reading my Bible and traveling.
My favorite part of Scripture is from Philippians 1:6, “…being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
