About Me: Dr. Cottrell-Yongye
I graduated with my B.S. in Biology from Towson University and completed my Ph.D. in Microbiology at the University of Georgia. I am married to Dr. Austin Yongye, who is a postdoctoral researcher at Torrey Pines Institute for Molecular Studies. When I first visited Morningside in 2008, I was drawn to the loving and family atmosphere found here. I am entering my second year of teaching at Morningside Academy, and I am blessed to have started my teaching career here. This year I will be teaching 9th grade Physical Science, 9th grade Algebra I, 10th grade Biology I, 11th Grade Chemistry, 12th grade Biology II first semester, and Principles of Biology for dual-enrollment second semester. In my spare time, I really enjoy reading my Bible and traveling. My favorite part of Scripture is from Philippians 1:6, “…being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
