Traditional Education
At Morningside Academy, students enjoy learning in a traditional manner. Lower grade levels emphasize the basics - reading, writing, and arithmetic - while upper grade levels are preparing students for college, career and life.
Since 1987
Morningside Academy began in 1987 with students in kindergarten and first grade. Now with over 300 students, the Academy has expanded to serve students from kindergarten through twelfth grade, with a full range of offerings in academics, fine arts, athletics and drama.
Dedicated Teachers
Morningside Academy teachers are college degreed and certified. Frequent communication between teachers and parents assures awareness of each child's needs. Through attention to the student's needs and potential, the Academy helps to build godly children for a better tomorrow.
Accreditation
Morningside Academy is fully accredited by FACCS, the Florida Association of Christian Colleges and Schools. FACCS is a professional accrediting association recognized by the State of Florida.
Solid Curriculum
Each student is given an opportunity to excel spiritually, academically, emotionally, and socially. The majority of the curriculum is from A Beka of Pensacola, Florida and Bob Jones University Press of Greenville, South Carolina.
Physical Education
Students participate in physical education during the school day, In addition to physical education, Upper School students may participate in competitive sports. Morningside Academy is part of the Treasure Coast Athletic Conference and the Florida High School Athletic Association, which afford Upper School students the chance to play girls volleyball, basketball, and softball; boys basketball, track, baseball and co-ed golf at the varsity level.
Music
Elementary music classes and optional violin class instruction are part of the school day. Upper and Lower School students may take part in the award-winning ensembles and orchestras. Annual music presentations are prepared by various music classes, the ensemble and the orchestra.
Upper School
The Upper School (grades 6-12) provides honors classes at all levels. Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment courses through Palm Beach Atlantic University round out the curriculum. A new science lab, computer labs, a nationally acclaimed orchestra, choir, athletics, drama, and community service help establish self-confidence and social maturity, and prepare students for college and beyond.
Lower School
The Lower School academic program (kindergarten through fifth grade) is designed to provide a strong foundation in the traditional disciplines. Students consistently score far above average on nationally-normed achievement tests. Core academics, based on biblical truth, are enhanced by instrumental and vocal music, physical education, art, library, computer, and Spanish.
